Job Title: Control Systems Programmer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Programmer to join our team at Dallas Area Rapid Transit. As a key member of our Operations Technology department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our industrial control systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement industrial control systems and networks to support our transportation operations.
  • Design and configure hardware and software components to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to industrial control systems and networks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with other systems and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of system designs, configurations, and modifications.
  • Perform routine system testing and monitoring to ensure proper operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our control systems remain secure and efficient.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Four years of progressively technical experience in industrial systems programming and network administration.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, C, C++, and Visual Basic.
  • Experience with industrial control systems, network administration, and security protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
