Job Title: Lead Ultrasound Technologist

Job Summary:

The Detroit Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a lead technologist, you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of work, delegating tasks, and overseeing the performance of ultrasound procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the flow of work and delegate tasks to ensure efficient operation of the department
  • Oversee the performance of ultrasound procedures and ensure compliance with department standards
  • Monitor the quantity and quality of work flow to ensure work is completed
  • Assist with monitoring performance improvement plans and provide input for performance appraisals
  • Recommend personnel actions, including hiring decisions and progressive disciplines

Requirements:

  • Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S)
  • Abdomen and OB Registry required
  • Two or more years of progressively more responsible Ultrasound Technologist work experience

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients. The ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment is essential.
