About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Architectural Sales Consultant. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for cultivating consulting relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers, identifying and securing opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications, and providing timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate consulting relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers.
  • Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications.
  • Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications.
  • Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services.
  • Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project tracking and time management tool.
Requirements
  • You are a self-motivated, organized individual with a passion for brand-specific product promotion and specification.
  • You are known for follow-up habits and driven to satisfy your client's needs and to deliver above expectations.
  • You are a strong communicator, active listener, and negotiator. You can work independently but believe in teamwork.
  • You have the ability to travel upon request within an assigned territory (travel required: up to 30%) and perform responsibilities in a home office environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.
