Maintenance Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Packaging Corporation of America (PCA). As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems on all plant manufacturing and support equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair industrial equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, fans, and agitators.
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to increase productivity, decrease downtime, and improve efficiency.
• Familiarize yourself with company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues quickly to minimize machine downtime.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to read equipment instruction manuals, align equipment to specified tolerances, and possess knowledge of machine and fitting shop practices.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and/or electrical equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, fans, and agitators.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, planning and organizing skills, and ability to work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or related field preferred.

Estimated Salary Range: $26.93 - $38.73 per hour, depending on experience.
