Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Transportation Environmental Planner to join our Texas Environmental Planning and Permitting team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in NEPA compliance and project management, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale transportation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in regulatory compliance processes, including NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and other federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Manage and prepare National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents, including Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements for transportation or other infrastructure projects.
  • Perform/oversee environmental technical studies and report preparation.
  • Facilitate public and agency outreach.
  • Oversee all aspects of environmental projects, including cost estimates, schedule, and budget.
  • Work with and oversee an interdisciplinary team of technical specialists and manage their project-delivery efforts.
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Assist with proposals and business development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, planning, geography, or related fields.
  • 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in project management and NEPA compliance.
  • Valid U.S Driver's license required.

About You:

You will have a strong background in environmental planning and project management, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
