Aquatic Educator

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Aquatic Educator to join our team at El Camino Country Club. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in teaching children and adults of all ages proper swimming techniques and skills.
Responsibilities:- Design and deliver engaging swimming lessons that cater to students' varying abilities and progressive development.
- Evaluate student performance during swim sessions and provide constructive feedback to improve their skills.
- Maintain accurate attendance, progress, and accident reports to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
- Ensure that all swimming aids and equipment are in good working order, promoting a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
- Assist students with special needs to socialize with other students, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity.
- Communicate effectively with students to motivate them to achieve their swimming goals and adhere to water safety rules.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant certifications (CPR, First Aid, YMCA, American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or Basic Swim Instructor) are highly preferred.
- Prior experience as a swim instructor or lifeguard is essential, demonstrating your ability to work with students of varying skill levels.
- Strong swimming abilities and knowledge of proper techniques and water safety rules are crucial for this role.
- Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills are necessary to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and management.
- Passion and enthusiasm for teaching and swimming are must-haves to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
