Northrop Grumman, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking an experienced Engineering Management Lead to oversee cross-discipline engineering teams. With a strong background in maintainability and military/commercial aviation maintenance, the ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and at least 9 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 7 years of experience.

Job Description

The Engineering Management Lead will be responsible for directing activities across product lifecycles, including design reviews, criteria, and engineering efforts for research, development, integration, test, and deployment/sustainment. They will also develop new business opportunities or expand existing capabilities to achieve efficiency and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs the work of employees supporting programs from technical, execution, and administrative areas
  • Understands statistical analyses and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies
  • Develops and implements task sequencing based on product lifecycle phase for Maintainability Engineering products and services
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and at least 9 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Maintainability and/or military/commercial aviation maintenance OR a STEM Master's degree and 7 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Maintainability and/or military/commercial aviation maintenance
  • EVMS Control Account (or Work Package) Manager experience
  • Previous experience with Panel Access Frequency Analysis, Maintainability Task Analysis (MTA), Maintenance Plan (MxPl) development, Maintainability Prediction and Allocation development, and Maintainability metrics (MMH/FH, MTTR, JET, etc.)
  • Experience reviewing engineering drawings for maintainability impacts
  • Current active DOD Secret Clearance, with the ability to maintain program access
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance or higher with special access
  • Air Force, Military, and/or commercial aviation maintenance experience
