Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at American Senior Communities. This is a PRN position that requires flexibility and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

The Occupational Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist to provide skilled care to patients in all ASC Therapies & Wellness Settings. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and functional ability.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Provide interventions and treatments to improve patient mobility, strength, and coordination.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Graduation from an accredited program in occupational therapy assisting.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
