The estimated annual salary for this position is between $92,600 and $172,300, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

The Principal/Sr. Principal GNC Engineer will design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains for the Glide Phase Interceptor Program. The engineer will work on a 6 degree of freedom (6DOF) simulation and integration with the weapon system, optimizing missile performance when integrated into a combat system.

The candidate will be responsible for developing novel techniques within the combat system to mitigate the impact of raids and ensuring program success through debugging and analysis of integration with HPC environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 5-8 years of related experience or higher education credentials
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining analysis tools in C++, MATLAB, and Python
  • Experience with high fidelity 6DoF simulation for guided missiles and missile guidance and autopilot algorithms
  • Travel 25% of the time
