DS Smith, a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join its team at the Cambridge Packaging facility. Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to perform activities that ensure our manufacturing equipment functions within operating specifications. The successful candidate will troubleshoot machinery using schematics and basic knowledge, provide expertise with relays, safety systems, VFDs, PLCs, encoders/potentiometers, and determine the root cause of failed equipment by troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, steam boilers, motors, gearboxes, pumps, sensors, and other mechanical and electrical components up to 480V.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot machinery and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide technical expertise and support to maintenance teams
  • Determine root cause of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure all work is carried out accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and record completed work orders in SAP

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Technical school training or equivalent experience
  • Prior industrial electrician experience
  • Automation experience and knowledge
  • Corrugator, converting, and/or packaging manufacturing processes experience
  • SAP experience preferred
