About the Role

At the University of Washington, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residence Life Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of the Housing and Residence Life department, this role is responsible for providing exceptional support to students, fostering a sense of community, and ensuring a safe and inclusive living environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a resident advisor supervisor, guiding and developing the skills of Resident Advisors to ensure they provide excellent support to students.
  • Assist in the training and development of front desk staff, empowering them to effectively manage day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain an accurate roster of residents, coordinating occupancy verifications on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee the management of a programming budget, creating engaging events that promote community building and socialization among residents.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, and two years of experience in residence life.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, with a strong commitment to serving students from ethnically, culturally, and socio-economically diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary and Location
