Job Overview

Maveris, a cybersecurity and IT services company, is committed to helping organizations create secure digital solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to join our team in support of a large Federal Government customer.

This role offers the opportunity to conduct offensive security assessments, analyze security systems, and recommend improvements to enhance security posture. The ideal candidate will have experience in penetration testing, red teaming, and program/project management software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct offensive security assessments using research and development of real-world threat actors' tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Perform penetration testing and red teaming assessments using hacking tools, simulating various attack types.
  • Develop and execute test plans and rules of engagement for Red Team operations.
  • Analyze security systems and recommend improvements to enhance security posture.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field – equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in offensive security, including penetration testing and red teaming.
  • Certifications in offensive security, such as OSCP, OSCE, OSEE, OSWE, GPEN, GWAPT, or similar are preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity principles, and industry best practices.
  • Working knowledge of program/project management software (Microsoft Project, Jira, Microsoft 365/Teams applications, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
Compensation and Benefits
  • We offer a competitive salary range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
