Data Governance Specialist

Crescens is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance principles, best practices, and data management standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Manager of Data Governance in preparing and facilitating recurring meetings within the program.
  • Assist in drafting meeting agendas, tracking attendance, and taking notes during meetings.
  • Present to the Data Governance Council as needed.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to conduct an in-depth inventory of essential data assets.
  • Investigate data quality issues within state data systems and present findings to the Data Governance Council and Steering Committee.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data science, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in data governance is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create and manage against coherent project plans and work plans.
  • Detail-oriented and able to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
