Overview

Highmark Health seeks a skilled Epic Systems Solutions Architect to join our team. As an integral member of our organization, you will be responsible for configuring, rolling out, and supporting the assigned Epic application(s).

Salary Range

$57,700 - $106,700 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

The successful candidate will perform business/systems analysis, requirements definition and documentation, system design, and problem resolution. They will communicate with system end-users to understand issues and implement solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan, design, build, test, implement, and support the needs of Epic software.
  2. Analyze and determine system requirements and specifications. Perform and document workflow analysis while evaluating user experience. Support and maintain environments or applications using domain knowledge. Create and maintain documentation and training materials regarding the implementation of applications.
  3. Using knowledge of Epic, configure changes within the Epic environments to provide standardized, comprehensive workflows. Correct issues, conduct routine maintenance, update systems with new functionality to meet the end-user's needs, and implement new technologies. Provide guidance and support to end-users to enhance the use of Epic, and offer solutions to resolve end-user system issues.
  4. Contribute to and manage small to medium projects independently. Update stakeholders as appropriate on a timely basis regarding progress on assigned tasks, projects, and issues.
  5. Conduct problem-solving and root cause analysis to resolve routine to moderately complex problems. Identify solutions and complete documentation.

Requirements

  • Three years of systems administration experience within one or more Epic modules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in the healthcare industry.

  • Ability to handle analysis, design, system configuration, and testing tasks at basic to moderate levels of complexity.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Uses critical thinking skills for assigned tasks.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster optimal teamwork.
  • Strong organizational skills in managing priorities.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of project management principles as they relate to assigned tasks.
