Role Overview:
As a Traffic Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge traffic systems. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects that enhance transportation efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Traffic Analysis and Modeling: Conduct traffic studies, analyze data, and develop traffic models to assess and improve transportation systems.
- Design and Planning: Create detailed traffic designs, including traffic flow improvements, signal systems, and roadway layouts.
- Project Management: Lead and manage transportation projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Client Liaison: Engage with clients to understand their needs, provide technical expertise, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and implementations comply with local, regional, and national regulations and standards.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in traffic engineering.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 7-12 years of experience in traffic engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
- Skills: Proficiency in traffic analysis software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.
- Certifications: Additional relevant certifications are a plus.
- Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation:
- Salary: $100,000 to $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
