Join Our Team as a Health Sciences Executive Leader

The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time, non-tenure stream faculty position in the area of Health Sciences Executive Leadership in the Department of Acute and Tertiary Care.

About the Role

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of future healthcare leaders and to advance the field of nursing through research, education, and practice.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor students in the Health Sciences Executive Leadership program
  • Conduct research and publish in the field of nursing and healthcare leadership
  • Develop and implement curricula and programs that align with the School of Nursing's mission and goals
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to advance the School of Nursing's research and education initiatives
Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field and eligibility for RN licensure in Pennsylvania. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Assistant Professor: An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field is required. Evidence of or potential for a sustained and impactful program of scholarship is also required.
  • Associate Professor: An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field is required. Evidence of a sustained and impactful program of scholarship that is nationally recognized is also required.
  • Professor: An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field is required. Evidence of a sustained and impactful program of scholarship that is internationally recognized is also required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Healthcare leadership experience (minimum 5 years) at senior director level or above with responsibilities for leading strategic direction within the organization and collaboration across all sectors.
  • Leadership roles within professional organizations.
  • Certification as a nurse leader or healthcare executive.
