About the Position

We are seeking an accomplished Nursing Professor to join our faculty at the University of Rhode Island. As Assistant Clinical Professor, you will be instrumental in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide leadership in psychiatric-mental health nursing, coordinate the psych-mental health nurse practitioner program, and contribute to teaching missions through mentoring graduate students and teaching undergraduate courses. Additionally, they will contribute to clinical or teaching scholarship and serve on college and university committees.

Key Qualifications
  • DNP or PhD degree by Fall 2025
  • Record of scholarly productivity commensurate with experience
  • Evidence of eligibility for appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor (as showcased in your CV)
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Excellence in writing skills
  • Clinical expertise in psychiatric-mental health nursing
  • APRN with PMHNP national certification
  • Eligible for RN/APRN licensure in Rhode Island
