Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg team on the Day Shift. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
Job Description
As a Registered Nurse at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating assigned patients and planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care
- Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures
- Performing various patient tests and administering medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
- Promoting patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must possess:
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas or a compact state required upon hire
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital Med/Surg unit preferred; Orthopedics experience highly desired; Telemetry experience preferred
