We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as part of the Nurse Residency Program. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates to launch their nursing career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Job Summary:
The Nurse-Resident role has the responsibility of attending all quality and core curriculum classes, actively participating in professional development workshops and peer support groups, and successfully completing all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program. As a member of our team, you will work under the direct and indirect supervision of the Clinical Education Team while refining your nursing knowledge and skills.
Main Accountabilities:
- Assessment: Collect patient data and complete required forms with accurate responses according to unit standards; identify patient needs and set priorities; refer patients requiring further follow-up or multidisciplinary support services under the supervision of a licensed RN. (20%)
- Planning Care: Develop a comprehensive plan of care based on the nursing process, incorporating plans from other disciplines and ongoing care needs; involve the patient and family in developing or revising the plan of care; make referrals to multidisciplinary support services under the supervision of a licensed RN. (20%)
- Implementing/Managing Care: Ensure that provided care meets accepted practice standards; administer treatments and procedures as prescribed, adhering to patient care standards; demonstrate understanding of age-related characteristics and needs of patients served; explain nursing procedures, provide discharge teaching, and recognize emergency situations. (20%)
- Evaluation: Record patient care delivered as planned, including any variations, and document observations related to impending problems. Implement nursing measures to address these issues under the supervision of a licensed RN. (20%)
- Leadership: Delegate nursing care to appropriate personnel using the nursing process, integrate cost-effective measures into practice, and recognize unit problems. Comply with hospital expectations regarding staffing demands and policies addressing safe working conditions. (20%)

Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings options, and paid time off.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution and be licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. Candidates with greater than 12 months of experience are not eligible for this program.
