**Job Summary**

As an Assistant Department Leader at Kroger, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of the department's operations. This includes monitoring and controlling supply expenses, managing cash control and sales records, and scheduling Front end associates to ensure adequate department coverage. You will also assist store management in preparing the store/department budget and profit and loss reviews, and help create and execute budgets and scheduling of labor. Additionally, you will assist in the development and implementation of department action plans to drive business results.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist with monitoring and controlling supply expenses for the department
* Assist with managing cash control, sales and cash items and records for the store
* Manage the scheduling of Front end associates to provide adequate department coverage
* Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews
* Assist with creating and execute budgets and scheduling of labor
* Assist in the development and implementation of department action plans

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* 1-2 years of retail experience preferred
