About the Role

The Pre-K Teacher will lead a class of young learners in engaging educational activities, including arts and crafts, play-based learning, storytelling, and outings. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for inspiring, encouraging, and developing children with diverse abilities, challenges, and personalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach fundamental concepts to prepare students for kindergarten, such as numeracy, literacy, social skills, and classroom behavior.
  • Implement creative, hands-on learning methods, like artistic expression, free play, and storytelling.
  • Develop a curriculum that meets early childhood education standards.
  • Foster positive social interactions among children.
  • Inculcate respect and discipline, enabling effective teamwork within the classroom.
  • Supervise children outside of class time, during meals, on the playground, or during field trips.
  • Prepare materials and workspaces for class activities.
  • Maintain open communication with parents about each child's life outside the classroom.
  • Create progress reports for parents.
Requirements
  • Degree in Education, focusing on early childhood learning.
  • Experience teaching pre-kindergarten-age children.
  • Able to adapt teaching methods to suit age-appropriate language and learning styles.
  • Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy.
  • Conflict resolution skills for managing child conflicts.
  • Creative thinking to design innovative lessons.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model.
