**Job Summary:** As a Support Resource Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality individualized support and resources to families, as well as individuals requiring assistance with special education and regional center services.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide expert support and guidance to families, leveraging your understanding of family systems and child development to help them navigate the complex world of special education.

* Develop and deliver training materials, presentations, and workshops that empower parents to become effective advocates for their children's educational needs.

* Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement innovative programs and services that meet the evolving needs of our community.

* Foster partnerships with local organizations, schools, and agencies to ensure families receive comprehensive support and resources.

* Maintain accurate records and reports, utilizing data to inform program development and improvement.

* Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in special education, ensuring that families receive the most current information and support.

* Participate in professional development opportunities, team meetings, and departmental events to enhance your skills and knowledge.

* Adhere to EPU's policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

**Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred, but not necessary. Bachelor's degree encouraged.

* Excellent communication, written, and verbal skills, with the ability to make independent decisions within established guidelines.

* Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving goals.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and other relevant software applications.

* Valid California driver's license and good driving record, with proof of current automobile liability insurance.

* Bi-lingual in Spanish or Hmong is a plus, but not required.

**Salary Information:** $20.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE.
