Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to oversee and manage the payment of our dealership's invoices and ensure that all accounts are paid accurately and on time. This is a full-time, hourly position in the accounting and finance department of our busy auto dealership in Dickinson, Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process invoices for payment in a timely and accurate manner
  • Verify that all invoices have the proper approval and coding
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and mail out payments to vendors
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all payments
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve any payment issues or inquiries
  • Assist with month-end close process and prepare necessary reports
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting software
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
