Staff Chemist

ECC is seeking a highly skilled Staff Chemist to join our team. As a Staff Chemist, you will play a critical role in helping plan, select, coordinate, and implement chemical, analytical, and environmental services to address the scope of work on environmental remediation and hazardous waste management projects.

• Data validation and management
• Reviewing analytical chemistry laboratory results for compliance with project Data Quality Objectives (DQO)
• Ensuring alignment with the Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP) and applying qualifiers to data based on Measurement Performance Criteria (MPC) exceedance
• Documenting the data validation process in a Data Validation Report (DVR) and annotating EDD with data validation qualifier

• Knowledge of chemical, analytical, regulatory, and scientific principles and analytical tools
• Understanding of design and application of sampling and analysis processes and remediation technologies
• Knowledge of Federal environmental regulations, DoD guidelines, OSHA standards, USACE QC protocol, building codes/standards, and FAR
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and recommend remedial alternatives
• Effective communication and project management skills

• OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER Certification
• Two years of progressively responsible experience conducting field sampling, operation and maintenance, or other environmental services

ECC offers a competitive salary range of $48,000 - $60,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with deferral matching.
