Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Sepsis Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing the sepsis screening process, communicating with nurses regarding the Sepsis screening tool, and implementing the sepsis bundle. You will also serve as a resource to nursing staff on sepsis screening, documentation, and orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and improve the sepsis screening process
  • Communicate with nurses regarding the Sepsis screening tool and MD notification
  • Implement the sepsis bundle and increase compliance with orders in ED and Inpatient units
  • Provide education and serve as a resource to nursing staff on fluid resuscitation devices and care of septic patients in the ICU
  • Participate in departmental goals and objectives, including nursing staff education and competency, nursing orientation and preceptor development, professional practice development, and patient and family education
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years hospital clinical experience
  • At least one year of teaching experience in a hospital setting
