Job Title: Registered Nurse II

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct patient care to patients with various medical conditions, including but not limited to, cardiac, respiratory, and neurological disorders.
  • Develops and implements individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Monitors and reports patient status to the healthcare team, including vital signs, medication administration, and any changes in patient condition.
  • Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participates in patient education and discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition of care.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification for most nursing areas within the hospital.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
