About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Internal Revenue Service as a Staff Assistant in the Facilities Management and Security Services (FMSS) division. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our facilities and ensuring the security of our employees and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex situations and make recommendations to supervisors to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Participate in special studies and research projects to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
  • Review and summarize information from various sources to provide insights and recommendations to supervisors.
  • Establish and adapt administrative procedures to meet the needs of the team and the organization.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to employees and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Experience acquiring, validating, and analyzing information, drawing conclusions, forecasting work, and developing alternatives.
  • Experience with operating programs and the interrelationships among them to perform program analysis.
  • Experience dealing with top-level executives and taxpayers to establish and maintain effective relationships and gain confidence and cooperation.
  • Experience with written and oral communications sufficient to prepare and present findings and recommendations, carry out specific action regarding controversial issues, and develop material for use in public speaking engagements.
