Nurse Specialist for Post-Critical Care Unit

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in TotalMed's Step Down Unit, you will provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units. With a focus on post-intensive care recovery, you will monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and perform procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes.
Job Requirements
- Current RN license.
- BLS (Other certifications may be required by the facility).
- Two years of recent experience in a Step Down unit.
- Strong communication and adaptability skills.
