**Job Summary**
MedStar Health is seeking a Community Health Educator to join our team at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital. As a Community Health Educator, you will work in partnership with local communities and Clinical Health Educators to design, implement, and evaluate health promotion, prevention, and education programs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Facilitate and teach community-based health education programs, health and wellness events, and support groups.
- Perform various health screenings, including phlebotomy, flu vaccinations, and point-of-care testing.
- Provide coverage for in-patient hospital rounding, patient education, out-patient support coordination, and family/caregiver engagement.
- Work on assigned grant-related projects, including data collection and reporting.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or associate degree in a health-related field with 10 years' experience.
- 1-2 years' experience in adult education/training.
