Senior Medical Director for Value-Based Care

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking an experienced and skilled Physician/ Administrator to join our team in Texas. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and driving business growth.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual to lead our clinical operations. The successful candidate will have a strong medical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients, coordinating services, and ensuring quality care delivery. Additionally, they will assist in setting a tone of cooperation and approachability within the practice and participate in local primary care on-call programs as needed.
This is a full-time position that requires 100% clinical focus on direct patient care, inclusive of patient-facing time and general administrative tasks related to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and treat center patients in accordance with standards of care
- Coordinate patient services, including specialty referrals, hospital, and SNF coordination
- Assist in setting a tone of cooperation and approachability within the practice
- Participate in local primary care on-call programs as needed
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A current and unrestricted medical license or willingness to obtain a medical license in the state of practice
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain licenses in other states in the region of assignment, as required
- Graduation from an accredited MD or DO program of an accredited university
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a value-based care environment
Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:
- Board Certification or eligibility to become certified (ABMS or AOA) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine
- Active and unrestricted DEA license
- Medicare Provider Number and Medicaid Provider Number
- Minimum of two to five years directly applicable experience in managing Medicare Advantage panels
