Van Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Non-CDL Driver to join our team at the Weld County School District RE5J. As a key member of our support staff, you will be responsible for transporting students, staff, and others to and from school, residential neighborhoods, and field trips.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive routes that do not require a CDL
• Maintain and promote a professional defensive driving attitude
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections
• Maintain proper student discipline per Board policy
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, schools, and parents regarding student behavior
• Assist the transportation department with other duties, including utility work
• Arrive on time and maintain regular attendance

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience driving students preferred
• Criminal background check
• Valid Colorado Driver's License
• Current first aid and CPR card

Working Conditions:

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and provide excellent customer service is essential.
