Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

Rutgers University is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in the Edison Outpatient Department within Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Program Director, the successful candidate will provide therapeutic interventions for the psychological and social needs of individuals served. This includes providing psychological testing, supporting the integration of evidence-based practices, and providing therapeutic interventions based on the principles of wellness and recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the smooth functioning of the unit, demonstrating initiative and flexibility regarding work assignments.
  • Effectively contribute to and support an environment that enhances the positive self-image of individuals served and preserves their human dignity.
  • Provide direct care, psychotherapeutic interventions, and services in accordance with UBHC program/unit policies, accreditation standards, licensing regulations, and billing requirements.
  • Consistently provide individual, group, and family therapy based on sound clinical judgment, empathy, and concern.
  • Complete and monitor clinical records in compliance with UBHC program policies, accreditation standards, licensing regulations, and billing requirements.
  • Take a lead clinical role in the department, including the professional development of staff, students, and interns.
Requirements
  • Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D. in Psychology with relevant experience, including consultation, testing, program development/evaluation activities.
  • Minimum of two years' experience, including graduate training, working in a behavioral health care or related setting.
  • Licensed in the State of New Jersey as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
