Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Director to join our team at Elevance Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and responding to financial risks inherent in the pricing and development of health insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and interprets data and related formulae to inform business decisions
  • Monitors trends of profit and profitability by line of business and/or product
  • Serves as an Actuarial representative on major, multi-function projects
  • Organizes and directs the staffing and workflow of the section

Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree and minimum of 6 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
  • FSA required from the Society of Actuaries (SOA)

Preferred Skills:

  • Extensive expertise in data analysis, interpretation, and presentation
  • Highly proficient with a wide range of modern actuarial and financial resources, programs, and tools

Benefits:

  • Market-competitive salary range: $135,360 to $243,648
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability benefits, 401(k) +match, stock purchase plan, life insurance, wellness programs, and financial education resources

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid workforce strategy: associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week
