Diagnostic Medical Sonography Expertise

Provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures, leveraging expertise in ultrasound technology to acquire and analyze data.

Collaborative Team Player

Actively supports the mission, goals, and objectives of Thompson Health, working collaboratively with team members and medical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

Competencies and Qualifications

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs patient assessments, acquires and analyzes data, and provides a summary of findings to aid in patient diagnosis and management. Demonstrates the ability to work independently, exhibits flexibility in decision-making, and prioritizes assignments effectively.

Education and Certifications

Completion of an accredited ultrasound program or registered with equivalent ultrasound experience. Valid ARDMS Registry in Ultrasound, breast registry preferred. Maintains professional credentials and participates in continuing education activities through professional societies and organizations.

Requirements

BS degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required. Basic CPR training required, or to be completed within three months of hire. Pay Range: $49.50. Starting Pay: Based on Experience.
