Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiovascular Care Coordinator to join our team at Catholic Medical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and manage front desk operations, including checking patients in and out.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and direct them to the appropriate staff.
  • Collaborate with administrative assistants to facilitate communication between referring physicians and cardiologists.
  • Manage non-clinical patient services such as scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining patient charts.
  • Accurately record messages and ensure timely delivery to staff.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information, scanning necessary documents into the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Sort and distribute incoming faxes and mail to appropriate staff members.
  • Address billing inquiries and work with clinical support staff to resolve issues.
  • Interact with patients to address complaints and ensure effective resolutions.

Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting performing similar clerical duties.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.
    • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
    • General computer knowledge and proficiency in using EMR systems.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
