Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our dynamic team at Kemira. As a key member of our Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulations and standards for our products. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing product stewardship programs, maintaining regulatory documentation, and collaborating with regulatory bodies to ensure our products meet all necessary requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with local, national, and international regulations, maintaining a strong focus on safety and environmental impact.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain regulatory documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS), labels, and technical files, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Product Stewardship: Design and implement product stewardship programs to minimize environmental impact and ensure product safety, aligning with Kemira's sustainability goals.
  • Liaison: Serve as the primary contact with regulatory agencies and industry groups, fostering strong relationships and staying informed about regulatory developments.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide guidance on regulatory requirements for new and existing products, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks.
  • Training: Provide training and support to internal teams on regulatory and product stewardship matters, promoting a culture of compliance and sustainability.
  • Monitoring: Stay up-to-date on changes in regulations and standards, communicating these changes to relevant stakeholders and ensuring Kemira's products remain compliant.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs or product stewardship, with a strong understanding of chemical regulations in the Americas region.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under time pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office, with experience in SAP a plus.
