Job Summary

The Reactor Engineering Branch Manager will lead and mentor a team of reactor engineers to achieve top quartile performance in reactivity management. This role is responsible for providing management oversight for the Reactor Engineering functions, including start-up and at-power testing, reactivity maneuvers, monitoring reactor core performance, and refueling activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of reactor engineers to achieve top quartile performance in reactivity management.
  • Provide management oversight for the Reactor Engineering functions, including start-up and at-power testing, reactivity maneuvers, monitoring reactor core performance, and refueling activities.
  • Implement the Special Nuclear Materials Control Program.
  • Owner of the Spent Fuel Pool Boral Aging Management Program.
  • Participation in the Emergency Response Organization.
  • Support refueling and maintenance outages as required.
  • Respond to technical inquiries from maintenance and provide responses to support online work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Nuclear Power Plant Experience, including Reactor Engineering, Nuclear Fuels, or Senior Reactor Operator experience.
  • Availability for Shift Work during plant outages and generation challenges.
  • Must meet Nuclear requirements for Unescorted Plant Access.
  • Must meet US Dept of Energy requirements for access to nuclear technology information under 10 CFR 810.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree.
  • Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state).
