Our Veterinarian role at Vetco Total Care Full Service Veterinary Hospitals is critical to our mission. As a key member of our team, you'll provide top-notch patient care, working closely with our veterinarians and support staff to deliver high-quality medical services.
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough physical examinations to diagnose and treat diseases, and provide preventative care tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Employ a problem-based approach to develop comprehensive treatment plans, leveraging your expertise to address complex cases and provide exceptional care.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and continuity of patient care, whether through referrals or day-to-day operations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization, transitioning them to overnight care as needed and communicating effectively with referral hospitals.
• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals, always prioritizing animal welfare and safety.
Requirements:
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a veterinarian in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
• Current DEA license and any relevant state-specific licenses.
• USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, fostering open communication and a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with the ability to maintain a professional attitude and composure in emotionally charged situations.
• Proficiency in computer systems and software, with a willingness to adapt to new technologies and workflows as needed.
Estimated Salary: $95,600 - $203,000 per year
