Advanced Practice Provider, Adult Medicine Specialist

Orlando Health Physician Associates is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in Adult Medicine. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our medical center.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose patients' physical and psychosocial status through interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as credentialed.
- Diagnose medical and surgical problems and prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.
- Implement appropriate management based on laboratory results, physical assessment, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies, therapeutic measures, admission, and discharge care in accordance with evidence-based medicine.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve patient care issues to foster significant improvement in patient care and outcomes.
- Dictate and document patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide patient education and maintain provision of preventive health services.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of our medical center.
- Prescribe medication and participate in quality initiatives to ensure consistent attainment of key quality indicators.
- Support IRB-approved clinical research/trials through various activities, including ordering diagnostic tests, prescreening patients, recording laboratory and diagnostic results, administering therapeutic interventions per trial protocols, and documenting outcomes per hospital and trial protocols.
- Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Nurse Practitioner: APRN license in the state of Florida, national advanced certification from an approved nursing specialty board, and current BLS certification.
- Physician Associate: Maintain current physician assistant licensure in the State of Florida and current BLS/healthcare certification.
