Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Paramedic Preceptor to join our team. As a Paramedic Preceptor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring paramedics-in-training, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer life support care and transport to patients in pre-hospital settings as authorized and directed by physician.
• Perform a variety of skills related to acute and non-acute settings in ground and/or air transport.
• Respond to medical emergencies in a 911 setting and protect life and administer cardiac and trauma support when needed.
• Assess patient condition and make decisions regarding treatment.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of patient interactions.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in the field of paramedicine.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A minimum of one year of experience as a paramedic.
• Certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a paramedic and National Registered Paramedic status (preferred).
• AHA BLS - HCP, ACLS, PALS, Haz Mat Awareness, NRP, and PHTLS or BTLS certifications within one year from date of hire.
• Ability to maintain continuing education hours to meet re-certification status as required by State and National standards.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $53,000-$73,000 per year, based on location and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
