Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team at Knott's Hotel. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing meals and snacks for our guests, using basic kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and ovens. You will work in a fast-paced environment, following recipes and food preparation instructions to ensure high-quality dishes.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare meals and snacks for guests, using various cooking techniques such as grilling, broiling, frying, and baking.
  • Stock and maintain order in walk-in refrigerators, dry storage areas, and other kitchen spaces.
  • Complete daily opening and closing cleaning procedures in the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, responding to questions and requests, and initiating interactions to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Six Flags' Safety guidelines and reporting any hazards or concerns to supervision.
  • Meet scheduling requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods, to meet business needs.
  • Adhere to Six Flags' attendance policies and rules of conduct, including costuming and grooming standards.
Requirements
  • Previous cooking experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to follow recipes, food preparation instructions, and production guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to read, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
