Occupational Therapist Job Description

AB Staffing seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist for the 2024/2025 school year. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a SC Occupational Therapy license or Certification.

  • Key Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a school and/or pediatric setting preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR Certification required.

Job Details:

  • Contract duration through the 2024/2025 school year, with 35-40 hours per week.
  • Follows the academic district calendar.

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients through observation, standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
  • Provide competent care, using exercises, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain and increase mobility.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and motivate patients to reach their goals.
  • Document patient care in accordance with department policies.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
