The Norman Regional Health System seeks a highly skilled Registered Technologist to join our innovative cardiovascular program as a Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist - Rad Technologist. This rewarding role involves preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining sterile environments during procedures. With a focus on professional practice, this position includes precepting new hires and collaborating with cardiologists and leadership to deliver exceptional patient care.

A strong understanding of radiologic technology and cardiovascular procedures is essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications and experience in a Cath Lab setting, with a commitment to continuous education and quality patient service.

Your Responsibilities
  • Prepare equipment before and during procedures to ensure optimal results.
  • Identify and assess patient conditions, providing tailored care and support throughout the procedure.
  • Maintain a sterile environment to prevent contamination and promote patient safety.
  • Precept new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and development as professionals.
  • Use downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by Charge persons or managers.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certification.
  • Previous procedural area experience is preferred but not required.
  • Certification in Cardiovascular (CV), Interventional (CI), or Vascular (VI) imaging is desired, but Basic Life Support (BLS) training is mandatory prior to patient care.
