Nutrition and Wellness Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Northern Light Health team as a Clinical Dietitian. The successful candidate will provide nutrition care to hospital patients and nursing home residents through the application of current knowledge in the field of practice. They will also back up dietitians for various areas, including inpatients, diabetes self-management education, and MNT clinics outpatients and family office practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional nutrition care to patients and residents through timely and professional assessments, evaluations, interventions, recommendations, follow-ups, education, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess complex patients and provide individual and group patient nutritional counseling, teaching, and follow-up in diabetes self-management education and outpatients as assigned.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, communicate effectively with staff, and maintain good working relationships with patients, residents, physicians, FNS staff, visitors, and all personnel.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Currently registered as a dietitian with the state of Maine or eligible for licensure within 6 months.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in a field related to nutrition and dietetics.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced clinical environment with prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Use computers, typing, and reading/writing to perform job duties.
