Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Water Quality Specialist to join our team at JCSI. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our wastewater treatment systems.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires at least 3 years of experience in wastewater system monitoring and maintenance. You will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining wastewater treatment systems to ensure efficiency and compliance with environmental regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • System Operation: Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure efficient performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Inspections and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Repairs and Adjustments: Perform routine repairs and make necessary adjustments to maintain system performance.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate logs of operations, maintenance, and compliance activities.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed and adhere to environmental regulations to maintain a safe workplace.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Maryland Wastewater certification or related training is highly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in wastewater system monitoring and maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities; forklift operation experience is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be up to $38/hour, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and holidays.
