Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

Wellstar Vinings Health Park is seeking a FT Registered Radiology Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be flexible with work hours, dependable, accountable, and cooperative. As a Registered Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures, utilizing equipment for diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases. You will work independently, using your knowledge and ability to obtain quality diagnostic studies.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment: Adjust technique to minimize patient radiation exposure, report equipment malfunctions, and maintain equipment in accordance with infection control policy.
- Patient Care: Obtain clinical history, gather examination data, and assess contraindicating conditions. Follow established procedures for contrast media administration and ensure proper patient identification.
- Quality Control: Produce high-quality images, operate equipment safely and competently, and maintain equipment calibration.
- Operations: Restock supplies, maintain a clean and orderly environment, and transport patients as needed.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT Radiography certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
