Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to fill a locum tenens position at a reputable healthcare facility. As a locum physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, from infants to adults, in an outpatient setting. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations, diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, and managing chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. You will also order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans. Additionally, you will provide preventative care services, including immunizations, cancer screenings, and health education. Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses.

Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency training program in family medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Board certification in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the AOA.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in District of Columbia.
  • At least one year of experience working in a primary care setting.
