About the Role

The Patient Care Technician is responsible for performing various patient care duties under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or other medical staff. This includes assisting with activities of daily living (ADL), collecting and recording patient data, and helping patients with personal hygiene and clean-up.

Responsibilities
  1. Collect and record patient data, including vital signs.
  2. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL).
  3. Answer call lights and complete patient rounds.
  4. Help with completing/maintaining files and forms for admission, transfer, and discharge.
  5. Take care of patient personal hygiene and help with patient clean-up.
  6. Comply with Baylor Scott & White policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • CNA Certification: Current certification required.
  • PCT Training Program: Completion of a PCT training program or equivalent experience.
  • EMT Training: Equivalent EMT training or experience.
  • Education: High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
