About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our team at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. As a member of our comprehensive cardiac surgery program, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform complex cardiac surgeries, including adult cardiac surgery, aortic aneurysm surgery, aortic valve surgery, coronary bypass surgery, minimally invasive heart surgery, and more.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular diseases.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on the latest advancements in cardiovascular medicine.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Board Certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Surgery.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Experience in program development and leadership is preferred.
  • Valid Kentucky medical license.
