Overview: The U.S. Army 1st Medical Recruiting Battalion seeks a highly skilled Medical Officer to join their team as an Orthopedic Surgeon. This is an exceptional opportunity for a physician to practice in their community while serving when needed.

Estimated Salary: $75,000 per year, with potential for up to $250,000 in loan repayment benefits over four years.

Job Description: As a member of the U.S. Army Reserve health care team, you will have the unique opportunity to serve your country and make a meaningful difference in the lives of Soldiers and their families. Your surgical talents will be in high demand, and you will be well-compensated for your expertise.

Key Responsibilities: Practice as an orthopedic surgeon in your community, with opportunities to deploy when needed; participate in humanitarian missions and other training exercises; and lead by example as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.

Requirements: Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico; eligibility for board certification; completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education internship; and between 21 and 42 years of age.
